Karben is a condensed, geometric sans-serif, based on a lozenge form. It's designed to be highly legible, and saves space with its narrow width. It has a utilitarian quality, but not at the expense of elegance.
The lozenge influence unusually extends to the apex of the upper case A, and the Y where the upper section joins the stem, to give the font a distinctive look.
Karben is closely related to Karben Mono, a monospaced variation of Karben.
