About this font

Bouchon has been created for Letraset by the French husband and wife design team, Roselyne and Michel Besnard. Inspired by bitmapped letter images, the types evoke a futuristic appearance and a style very much at the cutting edge of fashion which is just perfect for anything that targets the young, lifestyle conscious community. Both weights have been carefully designed and include a subtle texture to the edges of the characters to ensure that there is a certain individuality brought to a basic style that could so easily have been cold and impersonal. The Bold weight is certainly the more versatile of the two, having the qualities that make it legible in both the capitals and lowercase from very large to fairly small point sizes. By contrast, the Light weight, with the "gaps" in the letterform construction, has perhaps more graphic appeal but is much more suited to use at the larger point sizes.
